Brands&People x Hellow Festival 2017

The BudLight® Hellow Festival is one of Mexico's most visionary and well-curated music festivals. In its eighth edition in 2017, the Hellow featured an eclectic line-up headed by Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem and Dj Snake –garnished by artists such as Steve Aoki, The Horrors, Weezer and Kinky–. Seventy-six thousand people thought this was a good idea and vibrated with the artists on a day of freedom.

Created by Fran Martinez, this annual festival first arrived at the city’s musical scene in 2008 and changed it forever, not only putting together the best of pop, rock, electronic and local talent on one stage, but also raising the bar for the sensorial experiences people in Monterrey and all across Mexico were so thirsty for.

We were super stoked when Hellow commissioned Brands&People the branding and communication strategy for the 2017 edition and we partnered with El Grand Chamaco to create a unique and festive visual identity.

Also, we made this visual identity come to life through an oddly satisfying short-film produced by Nobody, to compel how liberating and captivating music can be. No matter who you are or whatever makes you tick, you will catch yourself bopping.

Brands&People x Hellow Festival 2017

El BudLight® Hellow Festival es uno de los festivales de música más visionarios y bien curados de México. En su octava edición en 2017 el Hellow presentó un ecléctico line-up encabezado por Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem y Dj Snake –aderezado con artistas como Steve Aoki, The Horrors, Weezer y Kinky-. Setenta y seis mil personas pensaron que esta era una buena idea y vibraron con los artistas en un día de libertad.

Creado por Fran Martínez, este festival anual llegó a la escena musical de Monterrey en 2008 y la cambió para siempre, no solo por reunir lo mejor del pop, rock, electrónica y talento local en un solo escenario, sino también por establecer un nuevo estándar en las experiencias sensoriales que los regios y todo México estaban pidiendo a gritos.

Nos emocionó que el Hellow comisionara a Brands&People la estrategia de branding y comunicación para la edición 2017 y formamos una colaboración con El Grand Chamaco para crear una identidad visual única y festiva.

Además logramos que esta identidad cobrara vida a través de un cortometraje extrañamente encantador, dirigido por Nobody, con el que transmitimos lo liberador y cautivante que es la música. No importa quién eres o qué te mueve el tapete, no podrás evitar bailar.
